There have been heavy losses this year. Yet, there are as many victories. Many cats have been placed successfully in forever homes. Max, a siamese cat at a humane shelter in Topeka , Kansas was discovered by a member of the siamese rescue group, his situation shared, as he sat on death row, his fate seemed grim. His time was running out. Then, his guardian angel made it possible for him to come here to WILDTALK, he is here now, safe and alive. No longer in a shelter, and no longer on death row. Max is doing very well.
Takiy our african leopard celebrated another birthday!! She has a hole in the left ventrical of her heart, she is our miracle kitty. The night of her birthday, there was a meteor shower, we thought it was a special light show of the stars from her "Creator"!! She is such a blessing to all our lives. Doing incredibly well for a leopard they termed a dead leopard as a baby. Each day is a victory with her! She has overcome many obstacles. We are all so thankful for her presence!
Cuzco , the little South American cougar/ mt lion is not little any more! He has grown to be a very handsome yearling mt lion. Santa Paws came to visit all the kitties, but Santa Paws brought Cuzco a very much needed igloo hut, our special thanks and appreciation to Julie and Dennis!! It is the perfect size!! Dennis also made it possible with several of his friends , for Cuzco to remain at Wildtalk , where Cuzco has known no other home or family. Dennis and his wonderful friends helped with the errection of the main cage, a structure that is actually one huge cage with 8 large compartments and slide/guilotine doors. I have had problems with the nerves in my right hand and arm , the dr suspects carpal tunnel. To handle Cuzco, we needed special caging here as he grows and grows!! Dennis made that all possible!
