POCO an African Serval Cat

Poco is ten yrs old. His prior owner could no longer provide for his care. So he was brought here to the sanctuary. If you would like to sponsor Poco, please contact us for more information. There will be some photos of him soon.

New arrival, also needs a sponsor/s Her name is not carved in stone yet:), but she is very special to everyone already. She is a 12 day old african leopard cub that we call Seringetti ... if you have a name suggestion, please contact us! Kalahari is also on the list and Ginger has a co-worker that speaks Swahili, so , watch the next news letter or website for the babies official naming! Babies have very special needs so we really need your help to provide for her! Formula is very expensive as is veterinary care and needs the first 6 mos. She needs everything weekly! Formula, baby wipes, be sure they are hypoallergenic, paper towels, disinfectants(ordered thru revival to keep germs and contamination to zero, Health Guard, Virkon, Nolvasan,Microtek) KittyLac is the formula we use, vitamins, Nutri drops, nutrical, bleach, laundry soaps, non toxic baby toys, beanie babys for first month , then stuffed toys that are larger. Fisher price balls, plastic balls that are chew proof, boomer balls after age 3mos. The BABY has a name! Her name is "Aziza Ku umba - Nausea" which means in Swahili "Precious Creation, and Naysa, Hebrew , for "Miracle of God" , thus her name, "Precious Creation, Miracle of God", for that she is, that she truly is! Leopards are endangered all over the world.

Thank you each and everyone who sent name suggestions. Thank you Anita, that was a GREAT baby name site you sent via the internet! Tammy, thank you for the searching for the many translations of "Miracle of God", and for the special email you sent. I hope you wont mind me quoting your note to me . Tammy wrote, after meeting Aziza Ku umba Naysa...quote "I think no matter what we end up "calling " her, she will know only that whatever is spoken in "people"is said with "LOVE, and that she is safe , cared for, and that life is good. Her leopard name will be "rrrrwwoooa and she will answer to both, as long as the person she is answering is worth of her respect." Tammy, I cried when I read that , thank you, it is so beautifully put and true! Thank you for caring for the wildones and being such a good friend to the animals. Thank you also for the flowers you sent to the hospital when I had surgery for the ruptured bladder. God Bless each and all of our WildTalk family and team!
