2001 Mothers Day Laser Regatta
|
| SITE: | The 2000 LGYC Mothers Day Laser Regatta will be held on May 12 on the waters of Geneva Lake. The Lake Geneva Yacht Club is the host club and organizing authority. | |
| RULES: | This regatta will be governed by the Racing Rules of Sailing, the perscriptions of ISAF, the rules of the Laser Class (ILCA) except as altered by this notice and the Sailing Instructions. | |
| SPECIAL RULES: | Whenever afloat, each helmsperson shall wear a Coast Guard Approved lifejacket. Whenever afloat, each helmsperson shall wear a wet suit or a dry suit. | |
| ELIGIBILITY: | The regatta is open to all Laser Class yachts, Standard and Radial Rigs. Eligible yachts may be entered by filling out an entry form during the registration period and remitting the entry fee. | |
| FEES: | Entry fee is $12.00, $10.00 for members of U.S. Sailing. There will be a nominal charge for lunch. | |
| SCORING: | The Low-Point Scoring System, Appendix A of the Racing Rules will apply, with 5 races scheduled, of which 1 shall be completed to constitute a series, except that each yacht's total score will be the sum of her scores for all races. | |
| ALTERNATIVE PENALTY: | The 720° Turns Penalty, Part 4 - 44.2 of the Racing Rules will apply. | |
| PRIZES: | First three overall, first junior (18 or under ), first master (45 or over ). | |
