ILYA Commodore Jeff Baker noted when presenting the year 2000 Member of the Year award to Suzi Reese, she is probably the "Member of the Decade." Suzi initiated the planning of the first ILYA Winter Inland, and has chaired the event through eleven episodes. She was given the responsibility of chairing the ILYA's Centennial Regatta in 1997, an event that will likely never be topped. And in 2000, representing Lake Geneva, Suzi chaired the ILYA Millenium Championship at Geneva, an event which so impressed the Association, that the Club also was honored as ILYA Club of the Year.
