Minutes from Monday, February 18, 2002 (General Monthly Meeting)

 

Call to order at 6pm by Markut.

 

Roll Call:  Stefanski, Markut, Dave Wagner, and Bob Hankel present; Derks absent due to a family emergency.

 

Agenda posting verified by Markut.

 

Motion by Markut, seconded by Stefanski, to approve minutes from both sessions on January 21, 2002.  Motion passed 2-0.

 

Motion by Stefanski, seconded by Markut, to approve the disbursement of checks 1235-1236 and 3915-3998.  Motion passed 2-0.

 

Attorney’s report:  Vicki V. Peterson hearing is set for Feb. 27 and will be attended by Peter Ludwig; letter to Marsala’s about reopening judgement has been marked “return to sender” twice, will try one more time.

 

Engineer’s report:  Water main looping from Violet Road to Wisteria Road will commence on Feb. 19; the short looping main on the Guske easement will wait until spring so that contractor can restore the pavement immediately; contractor continues to work on correcting items on the outstanding issues list.

 

Motion by Markut, seconded by Stefanski, to postpone enforcement action on well-operation permit for William Gaede and place well-operation permit policy on next month’s agenda.  Motion passed 2-0.

 

Motion by Markut, seconded by Stefanski, to approve the resolution authorizing the issuance and sale of up to $87, 561 in general obligation sewerage system promissory notes, series 2002 and providing for other details and covenants with respect thereto including the approval of Amendment No. 1, in the amount of $262, 322 to the Financial Assistance Agreement  with the State of Wisconsin Clean Water Fund, dated September 23, 1998, in an amount not to exceed $17,463,787.  Motion passed 2-0.

 

Motion by Markut, seconded by Stefanski, to re-enact ordinance 2001-01 and post it accordingly.  Motion passed 2-0.

 

Treasurer’s report:  Account balance is $3,064,509.50
