Minutes from the Regular Monthly Meeting on Monday November 17, 2003.

 

Call to order at 6:00 p.m. by Derks

 

Commissioners: John Derks and Paul Schneider present. Bill Markut will be late. Mr. Benson, the engineer for the District arrived at 6:04 P.M. Pete Ludwig arrived at 6:10 P.M.

John Derks verified agenda posting on Friday November 14, 2003, by the District clerk JoAnn Kanas

 

Derks made a motion, seconded by Schneider, to approve the minutes from the October 20. 2003 regular monthly meeting and the Special Closed Meeting of October 23, 2003, Motion passed unanimously

 

Schneider made a motion, seconded by Derks, to approve check nos. 5484 and 5488 to 5551, and checks nos. 1249 and 1250, Motion passed unanimously Balance on hand $3,301,504.60

 

Pete Ludwig had no report to present

 

Bob Benson presented the Engineers report which is attached

 

Markut made a motion, seconded by Derks, to approve a Developers Agreement with Arthur Pierce with some revisions and deadlines changes, Motion passed unanimously

 

Derks made a motion, seconded by Markut, to deny a sewer credit for the property at N1358 Clover Road. Motion passed unanimously

 

Derks made a motion, seconded by Schneider, to put out for bids the electrical for the pole barn building covering the screening structure, Motion passed unanimously

 

Mr. Ludwig will file the complaint against the property owner of W1034 Larkspur regarding the illegal installation of a non-PLSD meter at that location with the non-abandonment customers.

 

Mr. Ludwig will create a new ordinance regarding the installation of sewer and water mains to vacant properties when it is known that at least 50% of those properties will be developed

 

Derks made a motion, seconded by Schneider, to purchase 2 automated valves and the installation of same valves for the sum of $7,045.00, Motion passed unanimously

 

Presidents report: The well pump failure from Saturday 8th was discussed in detail. Synchronization changes of the dialer will be taken to assure that the Districts personnel will be notified sooner or in a more efficient manner. A warning light is to be installed on top of the cabinet to alert personnel of a problem. The possibility of the installation of another starter and automatic switchover will also be considered

 

The Lakes Committee did not meet

 

Secretaries report: Reminded Schneider that a budget hearing needs to be held next month and that we will try to hold that in conjunction with our December 15th regular meeting

 

Date of next meeting will be December 15, 2003

 

Markut made a motion, seconded by Derks, to adjourn. Motion passed unanimously.
