Minutes from the Regular Monthly Meeting on Monday February 16, 2004.

 

Call to order at 6:00 p.m. by Markut

 

Commissioners: Bill Markut, John Derks and Paul Schneider present. Also present was Bob Hankel Attorney for the District.

 

Pledge of Allegiance

 

John Derks verified agenda posting on Saturday February 13, 2004.

 

Schneider made a motion, seconded by Derks, to approve the minutes from the January 19, 2003 regular monthly meeting, and the special open meeting of January 26, 2003.  Motion passed 2-0 with Markut abstaining.

 

Schneider made a motion, seconded by Derks, to approve check nos. 5699 to 5761; Motion passed unanimously Balance on hand $3,290,921.17.

 

Bob Hankel gave the attorney’s report: Lawsuits on the abandonments were filed

 

Schneider to send a letter to Chesen explaining the options available to him

 

Schneider to send a letter to the Kline’s explaining the ordinances and when they went into effect.

 

Derks made a motion, seconded by Schneider to approve the 2003 C.M.A.R., Motion passed unanimously

 

No action was taken on the assessments of the Signature Homes property on the corner of Post Rd. and County Hwy H

 

Markut made a motion, seconded by Schneider to take no action on the assessments against MPL215, lots 962 to 967 in block 21 on nonexistent Maple Dr. Motion passed unanimously

 

The discussion on the security audit will be carried over to the March meeting

 

Presidents report: Marc and JoAnn to attend the WRWC conference.

 

No Lakes Committee report

 

Treasurer’s report: Officer Domino following up on the Hucker incident. A new fund can be set up and the new home hookup fees may be put into this fund. Schneider mentioned the lower interest on split rates

 

Secretaries report: no answer from Mr. Hucker on his request to be contacted. Derks called twice and left messages on how he could reach him

 

Date of next meeting will be March 15, 2004

 

Derks made a motion, seconded by Markut, to adjourn. Motion passed unanimously.
