Minutes from general monthly meeting, May 18, 1998

Call to order at 7:03 PM by Bill Markut.

Roll Call: Markut and Stefanski present along with Chuck Sommers and Kirt Ludwig. Nosalski was absent.

Motion by Markut, seconded by Stefanski, to approve minutes of April 20, May 7, and May 14 as read and written. Motion passed unanimously.

Chuck Sommers gave the Engineer’s report.

Motion by Markut, seconded by Stefanski, to read and accept the resignation of Ed Nosalski as President of the PLSD. Motion passed unanimously.

Motion by Stefanski, seconded by Markut, to approve Ordinance 98-1 (Ammendment to Ordinance 97-1). Motion passed unanimously.

Motion by Stefanski, seconded by Markut, to approve Ordinance 98-2 (Ammendment to Ordinance 97-2). Motion passed unanimously.

Motion by Stefanski, seconded by Markut, to rescind the May 14, 1998 motion regarding well operation permit and fee. Motion passed unanimously.

Motion by Stefanski, seconded by Markut, to adopt a policy for well operation permits to be renewed bi-annually with a $50 fee. Motion passed unanimously.

Discussion about road restoration; a meeting will be set up with the Town of Bloomfield’s Public Works committee.

Motion by Stefanski, seconded by Markut, to accept Bill Hammerstrom’s bid to farm PLSD property on Daisy Road pursuant to his bid and proof of insurance. Motion passed unanimously.

Motion by Stefanski, seconded by Markut, to lease the water tower site farmland for $50 per acre per growing season. Motion passed unanimously.

Motion by Markut, seconded by Stefanski, to authorize the PLSD Board to act as a public inland lake and wetland rehabilitation district. Motion passed unanimously.

Motion by Markut, seconded by Stefanski, to hire Eileen Stefanski as a part-time secretary for the Pell Lake Sanitary District to perform the duties provided in the job description. Motion passed on a 1-0 vote with Stefanski abstaining.

Next meeting is June 15, 1998 at 7:00 PM.

Motion by Stefanski, seconded by Markut, to go into Closed Session pursuant to Wisconsin Statutes to discuss and possibly act on the disposition of land owned by the Pell Lake Sanitary District. Motion passed unanimously.

Motion by Markut, seconded by Stefanski, to get an appraisal on the Daisy Road property. Motion passed unanimously.
