Meeting was called to order at 7:00 PM by BILL MARKUT

Roll Call - All commissioners present (Markut, Stefanski, & Derks) including Kirt Ludwig, Chuck Sommer, Pat Romanowski, Dave Wagner at 8:32 p.m.

Verification of agenda posting was done by. John Derks at Town Hall,Monroes,PLSD office and Pell Lake Post Office

Report on audit given by Pat Romanowski

Motion by Derks, seconded by Stefanski, to approve meeting minutes of April 19,1999, May 6 (open) meetings.

Motion by Stefanski, seconded by Markut, to approve the payment of bills,Check #1166-67,1032-34, 1880-1919 Account balance is $3,443,520.70 Motion passed unanimously.

Chuck Sommers presented the Engineer's Report.

Kirt Ludwig presented attorney’s report, also to get fine book and fine ordinance

Lake Management & Rehabilitation Committee report given by Frank Chessin, discussion on barriers on beaches and volunteers for patrol. No authority but to call authorities on cell phone.

Discussion held on grinder pumps, to look into warranties and possibly sharing any repair cost, Also how about to fund it.Markut made motion to table until next month, Passed unanimously

Derks made motion to go with theWisconsin Retirement Fund for employee’s and to contribute 50% for prior service, seconded by Stefanski, Motion passed unanimously

Derks made motion to make the treasurer the designated agent to the Wisconsin Retirement Fund and the President the alternate, seconded by Markut Motion passed unanimously

Derks made motion to change Ordinance 99-2 to include charging anyone who obtained a variance

the quarterly charge of $18.00 as if they were hooking up. seconded by Stefanski, Motion passed unanimously

Markut made motion to change ordinance 97-1 to include punching hole in bottom of septic tank seconded by Derks, Motion passed unanimously

Derks made motion to have 30 day waiting period for health insurance coverage, seconded by Markut, Motion passed unanimously

Markut made motion to grant variances to N1227 Birch Road,N1238 Birch Road, W1215 Beechwood, N1424 Thistle, aand W1009 Juneau Road, seconded by Stefanski, Motion passed unanimously

Markut made motion that if residence is deemed uninhabitable they would not have to hook to the system, to be determined and tagged by building inspector of township seconded by Stefanski,

Markut made motion to have Dave Wagner look into a Special Reserve Assessment instead

of impact fees, seconded by Derks, Motion passed unanimously

Markut made motion pass resolution in support of Walworth County Land Conservation obtaining

county wide grant, Motion passed unanimously

Derks made motion to get extra 1 Million Dollar umbrella insurance policy to cover the district, seconded by markut, Motion passed unanimously

Date of next meeting is June 21, 1999 at 7:00 P.M.

Markut made motion in compliance with Section 19.85(1)(c), Wisconsin Statutes to go into closed session to discuss employee evaluation, seconded by Stefanski Motion passed unanimously

Derks made motion to increase Jim’s wage by 5%, seconded by Markut, Motion passed unanimously

Motion by Stefanski, seconded by Markut to adjourn, Motion passed unanimously
