The wastewater then flows by gravity into the oxidation ditch which is the largest uncovered structure on the property. It consists of three rings in which the wastewater is constantly circulated in a counter-clockwise motion. In this photo taken looking west towards Daisy Road, you can see the two walkways that cross the ditches. Although you may not believe it until seeing it for yourself, there is no noticeable odor while the wastewater is circulating in the ditch! |

In this photo, you can see the covers of the units that cause the oxidation in the wastewater. Under these covers are large discs that spin causing oxygen to be placed into the wastewater. The operator can control the amount of oxygen by the flow rate, speed of the discs, and other methods. |
